ST. JOHN’S (N.L.) – Perry and Yvonne Noseworthy of Paradise, N.L. enjoy playing Scratch’N Win games, always with a particular interest in new games that appear in the ticket tray. Their interest in the latest and greatest games recently paid off big with a top-prize win on the game Vault, worth $2 million.

“My husband often brings me home tickets after work,” Yvonne said. “When I scratched this one, I said, ‘Perry, come see! We won – we won big!’”

Vault is a $20 Scratch’N Win ticket offering top prizes of $2 million. The national ticket launched on April 1,2026 and four top prizes remain to be won.

“He turned over the ticket to make sure and said, ‘Yeah, it’s a winner,’” Yvonne said. “Then he did his happy dance.”

“That was a $2-million happy dance,” Perry added.

After confirming their win at a local lottery retailer, the couple headed home to video chat with their daughter.

“I asked her if we looked any different and she didn’t know what I meant,” Perry said. “I told her, ‘You’re looking at the next millionaires here in Newfoundland,’ and she couldn’t believe it.”

Plans for their winnings include paying off bills, investing and helping family members. The couple also enjoys travelling and is looking forward to doing more of it, including a cruise with their granddaughter.

The Noseworthy’s celebrated their big win on Yvonne’s 65^th birthday, making the event even more special.

“When you win the lottery, there’s a lot of joy right off the bat,” Perry said. “You know that you’ve got no financial worries anymore. There’s a lot of emotions.”

Perry purchased the couple’s winning Vault ticket at PJ’s Groceteria in Portugal Cove-St. Philips, N.L. The seller will receive a one per cent seller’s prize.
