MONCTON (N.B.) – Kelly Mountain of Grand Digue, N.B. is $1,533,377 richer after taking home the progressive jackpot on Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Hawaiian Getaway​, an online Casino game on alc.ca.

Mountain said he enjoys playing alc.ca’s online Casino each week for a bit of downtime, but always sticks to a budget of $50 a week.

“I keep my limits, it’s entertainment value for me,” Mountain said. “Then, every once in a while you win and feel good and get to treat yourself to something.”

Every play on Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Hawaiian Getaway offers the chance to win one of two jackpots. Total bets less than $3 can win the Powerbucks Jackpot of $1 million while total bets of $3 or more are eligible for the Powerbucks Progressive that starts at $1 million and grows.  

Mountain won his $1.5-million progressive prize with a bet of just $3.

While the reality of the win sank in quickly for Mountain, his loved ones had a little more trouble processing the big news.

“It was a nice call to make to tell them they don’t have to worry about it anymore,” Mountain said. “I’ve always had a dream of being able to do that for them.”
