Artists based in Atlantic Canada are invited to submit their designs under the theme of community pride and the unique elements that showcase the Atlantic Canada of today.
Submissions will be reviewed by an internal panel and the winning artist will be awarded $5,000.
The winning design will be showcased as window decals on Atlantic Lottery’s head office in downtown Moncton (922 Main St.).

A selection panel comprised of Atlantic Lottery employees will review all application materials and score using the rubric below. The selection panel will then recommend the winning design and the winning artist or community group will be notified.

The selection panel reserves the right to request additional information from any of the participants to inform their decision. The panel also reserves the right to make no recommendation from the submitted applications and ALC may, in its sole discretion, decline to select a winner.
Upon final selection, the artist/artist team must work with Atlantic Lottery on refining the submission for production as required. Prior to awarding the artist fee, the artist will be asked to transfer the mock-up to a templated document (Adobe Illustrator). Atlantic Lottery will manage the printing and installation of the Design.

The parameters of this contest collectively create an environment that encourages artists to consider and emphasize diversity, equity and inclusion in their submissions. Diversity means understanding and utilizing different views, ideas and life experiences in a positive and authentic way.
The odds of winning a prize will depend on the number of eligible submissions received and the evaluation of the submissions by the judging panel. All winners will be selected based on skill determined by a selection panel.
This contest is based on skills alone and not subject to random draw or any other element of chance. Only one (1) prize to be awarded in one of the four Atlantic Provinces.
If there are words in the design, they must be, at a minimum, in English and French, as per the Official Languages Policy.
The design should avoid themes that can be perceived as appealing primarily to or targeting minors. Examples include: cartoon characters and caricatures.
Design must be original and created without the use of AI.
Design will be disqualified for any content that shows profanity, nudity, vulgarity, or discriminatory content, or is otherwise deemed unsuitable in Atlantic Lottery’s sole discretion.
